Sephiria Builds is an independent, player-operated research and strategy compendium dedicated to Sephiria, the action roguelite developed by Team Horay on Steam.

Who Runs This Site

Hi, I'm Kaelen "KatanaZero" Vance. I am a lifelong roguelite enthusiast with over 300 combined hours across Dungreed and Sephiria. When Team Horay dropped the 1.0 release, I realized the community was flooded with untested "one-shot boss" claims on Reddit and Discord, while hard math—like real evasion softcaps, internal cooldowns on weapon procs, and actual Boss Floor 60 survival thresholds—was nowhere to be found.

I created this publication to document reproducible builds, frame-accurate interactions, and honest weapon tier lists so fellow players can conquer Hard mode without wasting hours on dead-end setups.

Our Testing & Editorial Standards

Unlike auto-generated gaming databases that scrape raw item text, every guide published here follows strict testing criteria:

  • Hands-on Live Verification: Every featured build has cleared at least Floor 35 on live Steam versions (currently updated for Patch 1.0.30).
  • No Fabricated DPS: We test in both target-dummy rooms and active boss arenas. When a number is an approximation or subject to RNG, we explicitly disclose the math.
  • Evidence-Backed Guides: Where available, we embed video timestamp logs and state preset codes so you can replicate our test conditions immediately.
  • Active Patch Audits: Balance patches break synergies. We run weekly patch checks against Steam release notes and flag outdated interactions within 48 hours.

Independent & Ad-Supported

This site is completely free to read, without paywalls or mandatory logins. We support hosting, server costs, and testing equipment through transparent, non-intrusive banner advertising and community word-of-mouth.
