Frozen Smelt Build - Freeze Control Dagger (1.0.24)

Frozen Smelt is the freeze-control route: it stops the screen from playing while your damage catches up. One of the few builds that keeps late-game pressure while enemies are effectively locked down.

Why it works

Glacier + Precision over a frozen screen. Freeze does double duty — it’s survivability (frozen enemies don’t attack) and damage (Glacier hits harder on frozen targets). The three ice artifacts feed the same loop: Ice Snow + Ice Seagull + Frozen Egg stack freeze uptime and cold damage.

Stat targets

  • Wisdom: ~5 — just enough for MP; the build runs on control, not raw casting.
  • Late DPS: ≈10K, rising to ≈17K with Berut’s Sickle.

Leveling order

  1. Wisdom to ~5 first — the MP floor that keeps the freeze loop sustainable.
  2. Freeze uptime artifacts (the ice trio) before raw damage.
  3. Berut’s Sickle when it appears — the single biggest DPS jump on this route.

How to play

Hold the screen. Keep Glacier ticking on frozen groups and re-freeze before the first freeze expires — the artifact set’s uptime is what separates a working run from a stall. Hunter Miracle keeps the pace while you kite.

Evidence & patch notes

Hard 60 claimed on 1.0.24. The DPS figures (≈10K / ≈17K) are community-reported rather than video-verified — treat the ceiling as strong-but-not-gospel. See the six-build overview for the full comparison.
