Sephiria Weapon Tier List 1.0 - Best Weapons Ranked

Every Sephiria weapon ranked for the 1.0 patch: katana crit, greatsword special attack, freeze dagger, minigun crossbow and staff caster routes with evolution paths.

8/25/2026 1.0.25 Last updated: 8/25/2026 3 min read

Sephiria’s 1.0 balance is unusually healthy: community clears have been recorded on every weapon family, and the honest answer to “which weapon is best” is the one whose playstyle you enjoy. What we can rank is how strong each route’s ceiling is, how much artifact support it has, and how hard it is to pilot. All rankings below reflect patch 1.0.2x clears and discussion on r/sephiria.

Tier Explanations

  • S tier — Highest verified ceilings with deep artifact support. Multiple endgame builds.
  • A tier — Proven Hard-mode clears, slightly narrower ceilings or tighter requirements.
  • B tier — Viable and fun, but currently more niche or waiting on 1.0 re-verification.

S Tier S

Katana — crit scaling that double-dips

The Katana line ends at Biryuu, whose attacks count as both normal attacks and final hits. That double classification lets Firmness and Precision-style effects stack on every swing — the widest crit scaling in the game. A tank variant (Blade Katana + maxed Guardian stat) has also cleared Tier 60. See our Katana build page for the full recipe.

Greatsword — special attack monster

Greatsword routes revolve around special attacks: Absolute Ring and Amethyst-crystal scaling turn the special button into the whole build, with companion and mana damage supporting it. The Bone Sword → Creaking Spine line is frequently called the most beginner-friendly endgame route, and one-button variants exist on YouTube. Sword & Shield in the same family is widely recommended as the strongest true beginner pick.

A Tier A

Dagger — freeze control

Dagger → Sleeping Frost → Frozen Smelt freezes the screen and stacks Glacier + Precision. Community reports put late-game DPS around 10K (≈17K with Berut’s Sickle equipped), with a Hard 60 claim on 1.0.24. Control-first playstyle that trades raw ceiling for safety.

Heavy Crossbow — the Minigun

Heavy Crossbow → Unstable Lightning Mark → Minigun is the community’s favorite machine-gun route: Blue Wrist Guard, Brass Mirror Fragment and Walter’s Work Monocle form the core, with a recorded Hard 35 clear and multiple preset codes shared. Watch patch notes — the 1.0.23 Brass Mirror interaction was treated as a bug.

Staff — caster and hybrid casters

The most branched family: Throwing Spear → Formless Dance (evasion melee-caster) and Flame Staff → Elemental Fusion Staff Ilonica (homing three-element bolts, Floor 50 claim). Flexible, but each variant wants specific stat spreads (crit for Dance, 4–6 in each element for Ilonica).

B Tier B

Scythe — execute specialist

Scythe-of-Berut crit builds (“Crit God”) show up in YouTube Hard-mode content and pair naturally with other crit routes as a swap weapon. Strong flavor, fewer documented full-run recipes on 1.0 than the families above.

Planet / legacy routes

Unverified · pre-1.0 recipes The Planet threshold build (+16% Planet damage, +12% attack speed at Planet 10) has recipes only from 0.10.x–0.90x betas — no verified 1.0 clear yet. Treat as a retest project, not a recommendation.

How this list was made

Rankings weigh: (1) verified Hard-mode clears on 1.0.2x, (2) artifact and Miracle support depth, (3) how forgiving the route is for players still learning the game. When a new patch lands, re-verify before investing heavily — r/sephiria and the Steam discussions are where fresh clears surface first.
