Sephiria Dagger Guide - Dash Cancels and Every Evolution (1.0.30)

Sephiria dagger guide: the 1.0.26 dash-chain change explained, every Tier 2 → Tier 3 evolution (Frozen Smelt, Shadow of Hope, Liberation), and which route fits you.

The dagger is Sephiria’s fastest, most actions-per-minute weapon, and it owns the single biggest quality-of-life change of the recent patches: as of 1.0.26, Dash Attack can chain straight into Special Attack — Parry or Fury. That turns the family’s signature dash-weave from “repositioning” into an actual damage-and-defense layer.

What the 1.0.26 dash change actually does

Officially (Steam patch notes, 1.0.26): “The Dagger’s Dash Attack can now be chained into Special Attack: Parry and Special Attack: Fury.”

In practice, three consequences:

  • Dash is now an opener, not an escape. You can dash through a pack and come out of it with a Parry already buffering — melee risk drops noticeably.
  • Fury routes get faster charge loops whenever your route keeps Fury enabled (several Tier 2 evolutions disable it — see the tree below).
  • Routes built around Dash ATK itself — Beyond the Threshold → Shadow of Hope — get the most indirect value, since you’re dashing constantly anyway.

The freeze-control core of the family’s most-proven build is untouched by this change; see the Frozen Smelt build page for that patch-check note.

All names and effects below are community-compiled from Kean’s Sephiria Compendium (cross-checked against the game), current as of 1.0.30:

Those captures are from an older build (0.7.x) — use them to recognize nodes at a glance, not as current stat evidence. The table below is the 1.0.30 reference.

Which route should you play?

  • Freeze control (proven): Sleeping Frost → Frozen Smelt is the family’s verified endgame — ≈10K late DPS community-reported (≈17K with Berut’s Sickle), Hard 60 claim on 1.0.24. Full recipe on the Frozen Smelt build page.
  • Dash tempo (most affected by 1.0.26): Beyond the Threshold → Shadow of Hope converts constant dashing into repeated Blade Prison hits — the 1.0.26 chain change gives this route free Parry safety between dashes. Community testing is still thin; treat it as the fresh-tech pick.
  • Elemental on-hit: Lightning Dagger or Fire Dagger keep the classic fast-swing loop and add an element — Lightning’s Wrath’s stacking Electrocution suits long fights, Heated Blade’s Dagger Throw turns the weapon into a ranged burner (at the cost of Parry).
  • Caster hybrid: the Academy lines (Tome of Mimicry / Liberation) pair dagger speed with Grimoire builds — niche, but Liberation scaling off your highest damage type rewards stacked element builds.

For how the family stacks up against the other five, see the weapon tier list — the dagger sits in A-tier as the control-first pick.
